About The Position

This is a temporary and part-time position. We are looking for someone to fill the role of assistant manager during the weekends. We're looking for someone experienced in retail with a strong background in Magic: the Gathering and other trading card games. Your role will consist of providing excellent customer experiences, handling some administrative tasks, organizing events and tournaments, and leading the rest of the staff while the manager is away.

Requirements

• Positive, customer-first leadership style.
• Knowledge of Magic: the Gathering and cursory knowledge of other games.
• At least 2 years of retail or team-lead experience.
• Proficiency with POS systems and end-of-day cash procedures.
• Able to work on their feet for up to 8 hour shifts.
• Strong communication skills in both French and English.

Responsibilities

• Greet and suggest products to clients as well as process transactions.
• Handle and process refunds through the our point of sale as well as through Shopify.
• Oversee weekly and weekend events and tournaments.
• Perform opening/closing duties: keys, alarms, till balancing.
• Order, receive and process orders from our distributors.
