About The Position

Tommy Bahama is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store leadership and represent the brand. In partnership with the Store Manager, this role helps create an enjoyable store environment, motivate and develop the team, and deliver an exceptional experience for guests. The Assistant Store Manager contributes to sales and service performance, merchandising and presentation, and efficient store operations.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of retail experience.
• At least 2 years of management team supervision experience.
• Exposure to merchandising and retail visual concepts.
• Experience coaching and developing a team.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Ability to collaborate and analyze reports, identify opportunities, and take initiative with merchandising and presentation adjustments.
• College degree in Business or a related field.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to approximately 50 pounds frequently.
• Frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling.
• Occasional ladder climbing.
• Ability to stand routinely for the duration of a shift, up to 8 hours.
• Ability to work varied hours and days, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Store Manager to lead by example through motivation, support, and communication, creating a rewarding experience for internal and external guests.
• Build sales and service relationships with guests across store operations and model effective sales and service behaviors for team members.
• Achieve the sales plan through planning, execution, business analysis, and streamlining store processes in partnership with the Store Manager.
• Coach and develop Retail Team Members, foster a learning environment, and support thoughtful hiring, clear performance expectations, and internal career growth.
• Analyze reports and take initiative to make merchandising and presentation adjustments.
• Perform other duties as required to support the business.
