About The Position

Common Man Roadside Market and Deli is hiring an Assistant Store Manager for our Derry store on Crystal Ave. Come work for a great New Hampshire company in a fun, fast-paced environment! The Assistant Store Manager supports the General Manager in day-to-day store operations. This is a working management role- our managers work alongside employees on the floor and in the kitchen, offer hands-on training, guidance, and development of staff, and assist customers with inquiries and purchases.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in retail management
• Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Must be able to obtain/maintain relevant certifications, including Underground Storage Tank Operator A/B and ServSafe
• Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time, kneel, squat, bend and reach
• Must be able to lift/ carry packages up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Keeping the general store stocked and priced with attractive displays
• Daily paperwork, reporting, and logs
• Maintaining positive vendor relationships
• Scheduling, training, and supervising employees
• Supporting operations in kitchen as needed, including preparing, cooking, and packaging of food items
• Maintaining proper food safety, sanitation, and quality
• Aiding in the cleanliness and appearance of the store and grounds
