About The Position

The Leonard Assistant Store Manager has the Winston-Salem, NC sales lot with operations in the U.S. and has overall responsibility for assisting the Store Manager in managing the sales, operations, and asset protection functions of the store to ensure a great customer experience and maximum profitability. This position reports directly to the store manager and does not have direct reports.

Requirements

• Must PASS a background and a drug test.
• Proven experience in a similar role in the retail sector.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A strong commitment to customer service.
• Understanding of Point of Sales systems.
• Understanding of store operations and merchandising techniques.
• Understanding of commission based sales roles.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, which may include holidays and weekends.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in sales.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, a related field, or equivalent job experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Store Manager in all areas of daily operations including sales, customer service, and staff coordination.
• Assists with merchandising, inventory control, loss prevention, restocking, store cleaning.
• Ensures high levels of customer satisfaction by being knowledgeable on all products offered and teaming up with co-workers to provide excellent sales service.
• Assists with the development and implementation of marketing strategies for the store to drive sales.
• Helps manage cash and inventory levels according to company standards.
• Assists in the training and development of staff to enhance sales and service performance, operational effectiveness, and positive customer interaction.
• Ensures the store is in compliance with all company policies and operational guidelines.
• Achieves financial objectives by effectively controlling expenses.
• Identifies current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers to understand service needs.
• Protects employees and customers by providing a safe, clean, and well-organized store.
