About The Position
As the Assistant Store Manager, you provide leadership and direction to the store team by communicating sales objectives and motivating sales associates under the direction of the Store Manager. You will assist the Store Manager with the continuous development and training of sales associates and ensure compliance to all core policies and procedures. You assist in maximizing store profitability by achieving store sales goals, and ensure that store standards and processes for merchandising and operations are well executed. You create an inclusive environment and set the example for customer engagement that exceeds industry standards. As needed, you will assume responsibility for the store in the Store Manager’s absence.
Requirements
- 2+ years of related professional/retail experience.
- 1-2 years of preferred retail management experience.
- Ability to meet business goals by driving results through store teams.
- Ability to coach and motivate a team to excel at sales & profit results.
- Proven communication skills.
- Solution oriented.
- Ability to be flexible in a fast-paced environment.
- Standing required for entire work shift.
- Bend, lift, open, and move product up to 50 pounds (as needed).

- A formal education and subsequent undergraduate/graduate degrees are nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to maximizing and achieving store sales goals and monitoring sales progress against key targets.
- Model and foster a consumer centric mindset within the store and selling behaviors through genuine interactions with consumers.
- Support the Store Manager with networking and recruiting high caliber, diverse talent.
- Provide direct coaching, feedback, training and supervision of the team, ensuring that all company policies and procedures are followed and in compliance.
- Assist in managing labor and payroll expenses to maximize sales and profitability.
- Promote an environment of productivity by ensuring the team has the knowledge and skills to meet store goals for sales and customer engagement.
- Assume responsibility for the store in the Store Manager’s absence.
