About The Position
Ace Liquor Discounter is seeking a dependable and motivated Assistant Store Manager to support daily operations and help lead a high-performing store team. Requirements
- 2+ years of retail experience
- 2+ years in a supervisory role
- ProServe certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand/walk for most of the shift
- Strong communication, reliability, and teamwork skills
- Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays
Responsibilities
- Assist with supervising, coaching, and training staff.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and performance management.
- Help promote a positive, engaged team culture.
- Support daily store operations, including opening and closing duties.
- Manage store communication (email, updates, task assignments).
- Work closely with the Store Manager on staffing, operational needs, and sales goals.
- Check ID and ensure all alcohol sales meet Alberta regulations.
- Deliver friendly, knowledgeable customer service.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment.
- Assist with inventory counts, ordering, and receiving.
- Review reports and documentation for accuracy.
- Help support store financial targets and controllables.
