The Assistant Store Manager will join the team to help with store operations, customer service, and team development. This role involves assisting with day-to-day store activities, providing positive and approachable customer service, organizing and transferring merchandise, performing opening and closing procedures, and processing corporate directives. Key responsibilities also include maintaining promotional displays, assisting with merchandise ordering, record-keeping (payroll, scheduling, cash register deposits), and loss prevention. The Assistant Store Manager is expected to maintain store areas to company standards, protect company assets, adhere to safety guidelines, and help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates. The role also requires ensuring a positive, safe, and respectful environment, maintaining professional interactions, and being responsible for the overall cleanliness of the store. Additionally, managers may be required to provide background information for specialized licenses to sell alcohol and/or tobacco in certain jurisdictions.
