About The Position

Kay Jewelers is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager and help lead store operations. The role focuses on maintaining daily attention to individual and team performance standards to achieve sales and profit projections, contributing to a highly satisfying customer experience, developing team members’ skills and product knowledge through training and evaluation, and recruiting and selecting team members. The Assistant Store Manager also follows and enforces company policies and procedures and performs other operational and strategic duties.

Requirements

• At least one year of retail experience; preferably with a jeweler or specialty retailer.
• Knowledge of operating POS terminals and scanners and using basic computer software and hardware.
• Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, and schedule form.
• Availability to work days, nights, and weekends.

• Assist the Store Manager in maintaining daily focus on individual and team members’ standards achievement to attain sales and profit projections.
• Contribute to an atmosphere of total customer satisfaction.
• Develop team members’ skills and product knowledge through training and evaluation.
• Recruit and select team members.

• Perform other operational and strategic duties.
