About The Position

Sally Beauty is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in all areas of store operations, customer experience, and team development. This role is designed for development into a Store Manager position. The Assistant Manager will be responsible for primary duties when the Store Manager is not present, ensuring the store operates smoothly and meets brand and financial targets.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Minimum 3+ years retail sales/customer service experience preferred
  • At least 1+ year(s) prior management experience preferred
  • Ability to lead or support a team of associates to meet business objectives
  • Can effectively communicate with team and management
  • Must have scheduling availability to meet the needs of the business

Nice To Haves

  • Cosmetology license desirable, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Supervising and supporting associates' daily goals and activities to deliver an exceptional client experience that maximizes sales/KPIs and drives customer loyalty.
  • Ensuring all brand standards are met, including merchandising, planograms, marketing, backroom organization, and dress code.
  • Acting as the main point of contact to resolve customer issues and concerns.
  • Analyzing store trends and anticipating customer demands.
  • Engaging, training, and developing teams to achieve positive results.
  • Leveraging internal hiring platforms and actively recruiting to build a strong network of external candidates.
  • Identifying associate strengths and opportunities, and effectively addressing them through coaching or counseling.
  • Holding the team accountable to Company policies and expectations.
  • Maintaining positive associate relations by resolving concerns and keeping associates informed.
  • Building strong working relationships with Store Manager peers.
  • Maintaining consistent and timely communication with Area Managers and District Managers.
  • Fostering an environment of diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
  • Ensuring execution of all company processes through training, management, analysis, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensuring all processes to support digital strategies are utilized, such as Omni-channel fulfillment (SFS/SDD/BOPIS).
  • Managing inventory through ordering and shipment processing.
  • Managing payroll hours to the needs of the business and scheduling appropriately.
  • Ensuring all store opening and closing procedures are performed correctly.
  • Following through with Company directives, assignments, and projects in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensuring the store environment is safe at all times for associates and customers.
  • Enforcing all safety and loss prevention policies and procedures.
  • Protecting company assets by ensuring inventory and cash control procedures are followed to minimize shrink and damages.
  • Analyzing and utilizing all available reporting, tools, and technology.
  • Ensuring stores are compliant with all HAZMAT training and execution.
