About The Position
As an Assistant Store Manager, you assist the Store Manager with the store’s daily operations and help ensure strong performance across all areas. You share responsibility for following market-specific legal requirements, company policies, cleaning procedures, and compliance structures. You maintain an overview of store operations and lead team members when the Store Manager is absent, supporting efficient workflows, excellent guest experiences, and high-quality products. Success in the role depends on consistently following in-store operational requirements to deliver excellent guest experiences and encourage repeat visits.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in a leadership position involving team supervision, daily operations, and opening and closing procedures.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to build trust, resolve conflicts, and foster a collaborative team culture.
- A strong ambition to grow into a people-focused leader and build a long-term management career.
Responsibilities
- Support the Store Manager in leading team members in alignment with company principles and operational practices.
- Guide and support team members to foster a positive, high-performing store culture.
- Model leadership integrity by aligning actions, decisions, and behaviors with company principles.
- Support team development and motivation through ongoing coaching and in-store training.
- Support initiatives to maintain and improve employee engagement.
- Encourage open communication and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
- Promote a guest-first mindset in store activities.
- Build and maintain guest relationships in the local community in line with brand behavior principles.
- Contribute to improving guest satisfaction and loyalty.
- Help maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment.
- Enforce hygiene, cleaning, health, and safety standards in accordance with company guidelines.
- Ensure brand standards and local regulatory requirements are upheld.
- Assist with stock handling, inventory counts, and ordering.
- Support inventory optimization to keep cost of goods sold within monthly targets.
- Support initiatives that drive sales growth and improve store profitability.
- Assist in achieving company-defined financial and non-financial KPIs.
- Monitor performance metrics and escalate opportunities or risks to the Store Manager.
