Currently, we have an immediate opening for an experienced Assistant Store Manager who is passionate about crafting extraordinary experiences for our customers. Grandpa Joe's Candy Shop was born in Pittsburgh, PA, in 2012. We've grown from a single store to 23 locations (and counting!) across Pennsylvania, Ohio, Florida, West Virginia, and Minnesota. We also offer national distribution of candy and soda to over 15,000 independent retailers. This role is tailor-made for seasoned managers who have thrived in larger retail environments but are now seeking greater autonomy in shaping day-to-day operations. If you're a master of team building, possess a keen eye for merchandising, and relish the prospect of spending most of your time engaging with customers and driving sales, this opportunity is for you. As a Store Manager at Grandpa Joe's, you'll lead the charge of curating unforgettable experiences for our guests. From leading the team to greeting customers, your leadership with set the pace and tone of our store. Additionally, you'll play a pivotal role in merchandising our store to captivate and delight our guests, ensuring that each interaction leaves a lasting impression.
Requirements
- Proven track record in retail management within a dynamic and hands-on environment
- Available for 40-45 hours per week, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Flexibility to work both opening and closing shifts
- Dependable mode of transportation
- Valid driver's license
- Sense of humor
- Genuinely enjoy interacting with kids (actual kids and the adult kind)
- Enjoy helping customers stroll down memory lane, and creating memorable experiences
- Friendly, fun, and easy-going
- Understands the impact of their actions on the entire team
- Passionate about maintaining a clean, inviting workspace
- Enjoy expressing creativity through visual merchandising
