The Assistant Store Manager plays a crucial role in shaping the store's culture by embodying Sprouts' values and leadership behaviors. This position focuses on developing the store leadership team to deliver an exceptional customer experience through motivation and engagement of team members. The Assistant Store Manager will lead a team of approximately ten people, including Department Managers and Receivers, with courtesy, respect, integrity, and care. Key responsibilities include motivating and developing the management team, celebrating successes, identifying areas for improvement, and consistently enhancing customer satisfaction by training team members to exceed expectations. The role requires advanced product knowledge for customer assistance and team member training, effective communication of expectations and policy changes, and the ability to provide and receive constructive feedback. The Assistant Store Manager must confidently handle emergencies and resolve issues with urgency. This role also involves P&L ownership, managing inventory, labor, and expenses to meet targets, and ensuring compliance with all safety, food safety, federal, state, and company regulations. Driving sales growth and store experience execution through Sprouts' standards, mastering top item availability, and overseeing inventory management are also key functions. This includes ordering, receiving, stocking, and rotating merchandise, managing invoicing, leading backroom organization, building displays, verifying product freshness and accuracy, and overseeing price changes.
