Assistant Store Manager - Danbury Fair Mall
About The Position
As an Assistant Store Manager, you support the Store Manager in building a team that delivers results and provides an excellent customer experience. You share responsibility for store operations and maintaining an appealing store environment, while helping create a positive atmosphere that develops and engages managers, associates, and customers. The Assistant Store Manager reports to the Store Manager. The role involves partnering with the Store Manager to achieve business results, grow sales, develop team members, and maintain merchandising and operational standards. You oversee an assigned area of responsibility, engage customers to build relationships and brand loyalty, and perform point-of-sale transactions on designated shifts. You may execute management functions when the Store Manager is absent. The position requires flexible availability to meet business needs, including evenings and weekends. Occasional travel to other store locations may be required. Physical duties may include bending, lifting, opening, and moving products and fixtures weighing up to 50 pounds. The listed pay range is USD $19.50 to $27.00 per hour.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience as a Co/Assistant Manager in an apparel business of similar volume (preferred).
- A proven track record of exceeding sales and statistical expectations.
- Flexible availability to meet business needs, including evenings and weekends.
- Ability to bend, lift, open, and move products and fixtures weighing up to 50 pounds, as needed.

- Remain composed when facing challenges and unforeseen circumstances.
- Perform POS transactions on designated shifts and execute management functions in the Store Manager’s absence.
