About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in building a results-driven team that delivers an excellent customer experience. This role shares responsibility for executing store operations and maintaining an appealing store environment. The Assistant Store Manager helps create a positive environment that develops and engages managers, associates, and customers, and partners with the Store Manager to achieve business results. The position reports to the Store Manager.

Requirements

• Flexible availability to meet business needs, including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to bend, lift, open, and move product and fixtures weighing up to 50 lbs., as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Two or more years as a Co/Assistant Manager in a similar-volume apparel business.
• A proven track record of exceeding sales and statistical expectations.
• Ability to travel occasionally to other store locations, if needed.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Store Manager to create action plans that achieve results and grow the business.
• Demonstrate product knowledge, selling, and operational skills to maximize sales.
• Engage customers, build relationships and brand loyalty, and use company tools.
• Partner with the Store Manager to develop team members committed to creating a great customer experience.
• Oversee an assigned division of responsibility and be accountable for results.
• Support the Store Manager in consistently meeting merchandising and operational standards.
• Learn all aspects of the business and share ideas to drive the business.
• Remain composed when facing challenges and unforeseen circumstances.
• Perform POS transactions on designated shifts and execute management functions when the Store Manager is absent.
• Model the company's values of respect, integrity, teamwork, compassion, accountability, and inclusivity.
