About The Position

POP MART is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support its expansion in the United States. This role is responsible for overseeing store opening and closing operations, ensuring smooth store functioning, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, a thorough understanding of store processes, and the ability to identify areas for improvement and communicate challenges to the Store Manager. This position reports directly to the Store Manager.

Requirements

  • Retail industry knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Ability to lift large boxes up to 50 lbs.
  • Confident and comfortable engaging customers to deliver a great customer experience.
  • More than 2 years of store leadership experience in retail.
  • High level of ethics, values, integrity, and trust.
  • Experience working independently in an ambiguous environment with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions and implement effective solutions.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and implement new standardization directives.
  • High School Diploma.
  • Must be 18 years old or older.
  • Flexibility to work in a dynamic environment and effectively prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Enjoy learning new things, assisting customers, and contributing to a strong team culture.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of Brand Associates, setting expectations, goals, and fostering talent development.
  • Act as the manager on duty, focusing on achieving results while ensuring a positive customer and employee experience.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment for customers, employees, and products.
  • Uphold high store standards that reflect the company's brand image, values, and culture.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on POP MART's core business, including character information, products, and company history.
  • Support company marketing events such as in-store events, pop-up events, conventions, and new store openings.
  • Assist with the RoboShop business as needed, including following up with in-store RoboShop employees and business partners.
  • Improve store sales performance and meet key performance indicators such as store conversion, units per transaction, dollars per transaction, and store sales trends.
  • Drive sales of key company products including Blind boxes, MEGA, and accessories.
  • Execute Visual Merchandising and Marketing directives from business partners, including attending weekly calls.
  • Install marketing decals and props, set up new merchandising planograms, and set up marketing fixtures.
  • Remerchandise the sales floor based on product sell-through or slow-moving product, making strategic decisions aligned with business needs.
  • Work closely with the Inventory ASM to determine back-of-house and warehouse inventory levels.
  • Be responsible for back-of-house organization, inventory management, receiving/transferring of goods, and weekly/quarterly inventory auditing.
