About The Position
We are seeking a highly organized and results-oriented Part Time Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Queens Center Mall. This role requires a dynamic individual with strong leadership abilities and a passion for customer service . The Assistant Store Manager will assist in all aspects of store operations, including sales management, inventory management , and ensuring a positive shopping experience. The ideal candidate will be adaptable and possess excellent communication skills, capable of supervision and training and development of staff.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven ability to manage and motivate a team, demonstrating leadership qualities
- Working knowledge of retail sales principles and practices
- Experience in cash handling and cashiering procedures
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Experience with supervision of retail staff
- Demonstrated ability to apply selling techniques effectively
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in a similar retail management role
- Experience with inventory management systems
- Familiarity with planning and scheduling software
- Experience with promotional effectiveness strategies
- 1-2 years of experience in a retail environment
Responsibilities
- Assist the Store Manager in achieving sales targets and driving sales effectiveness
- Provide customer service and resolve customer issues, demonstrating excellent problem solving skills
- Oversee cash handling procedures and ensure accurate cashiering
- Assist with merchandising and visual presentation to maximize promotional effectiveness
- Participate in scheduling and manage staff breaks and coverage
- Assist in retail operations , including opening and closing procedures
- Provide coaching and training and development to sales associates
- Maintain store cleanliness and organization
- Demonstrate product knowledge to assist customers and drive sales
- Assist with inventory management and loss prevention
