About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager assists the Store Manager in leading a customer-focused, sales-driven, profitable, and productive store. The role supports a customer-focused selling culture, execution of store KPIs, and compliance with company policies and procedures. The Assistant Store Manager leads and develops associates, supports store operations and visual standards, and helps create a safe, organized, and engaging shopping environment. This is a part-time position requiring 20–40 hours per week, with schedule flexibility for weekends, nights, and peak holiday periods.

Requirements

Passion for products, brands, fashion, and trends.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Effective written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Strong communication skills.
Excellent time management skills.
Proficiency in math and strong computer skills.
Ability to work 20–40 hours per week and a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and peak holiday periods.
Ability to balance a strong management presence with approachability and encourage associate feedback and interaction.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

Deliver an engaging, positive, and authentic customer experience and ensure team members do the same.
Handle customer situations according to policy and procedures, seek solutions, and escalate issues as appropriate.
Share customer feedback with the leadership team to improve the customer experience.
Act as floor supervisor when needed, including during breaks and other non-peak periods.
Hold self and others accountable for completing operational tasks.
Coach associates and provide feedback on performance; recognize and reward outstanding performance.
Direct associates so they understand company directives and standards.
Prioritize and delegate tasks to meet operational needs.
Support and execute visual directives and maintain company visual standards.
Improve efficiency in store operational processes.
Maintain merchandise flow, filling, and presentation standards in the store and stockroom.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store and stockroom.
Ensure associates follow company policies, procedures, and Safety Program practices.
Represent the PacSun brand through passion for products, brands, fashion, and trends.
Inspire and motivate others by consistently demonstrating company core values.
Learn about products, brands, fashion, and trends, and demonstrate initiative in building that knowledge.
Recruit, identify, develop, and retain talent.
Build cross-functional partnerships and promote transparency, collaboration, and accountability.
