About The Position

Buff City Soap is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help maintain a high-energy, positive environment and consistently demonstrate client-centric service. The role helps drive store performance, deliver superior client service, and maintain operational excellence to meet or exceed productivity goals. The Assistant Store Manager manages and supervises the Makery to achieve company goals, leads by example, and holds the team accountable for an exceptional client experience. The position monitors daily Makery operations, supports sales and product creation, maintains a clean and professional environment, develops Team Members, manages inventory and production, and assists the Store Manager with revenue and expense control. The schedule is five days per week, approximately 30–45 hours depending on hourly or salary status, and requires availability to work nights and weekends.

Ability to perform Makery cleaning functions, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing.
Ability to work independently and alone during shifts as business needs require.

Nice To Haves

College education is preferred but not required.
Management and/or sales experience preferred.
Skilled trainer, motivator, and leadership qualities desired.

Responsibilities

Monitor and manage daily Makery operations in a fast-paced environment.
Lead by example in company operations, including delivering a client-centric experience, meeting personal sales expectations, and creating quality products.
Maintain a professional and impeccably clean Makery environment.
Establish clear goals and objectives for Team Members.
Provide coaching, training, and feedback to improve Team Members’ daily performance.
Manage and track stock of raw materials, finished products, and supplies.
Generate sales reports, maintain inventory and production, and assist with other Makery Manager functions.
Assist the Store Manager in controlling top-line revenue and expenses.
