Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • 2-3 years of resale/retail experience or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. un-assisted, and greater than 50 lbs. with assistance.

  • Leadership experience preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency highly regarded.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain store operations during scheduled shifts.
  • Assume the role of the manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager, directing employees, handling customer service and daily accounting.
  • Maintain the overall appearance of sales floor and off-floor areas.
  • Direct all store functions and activities on a daily basis.
  • Drive the revenue budget for achievement of established goals on a daily basis.
  • Monitor and direct maintenance of overall store appearance and sales floor to maximize return on square footage, customer shopping satisfaction and donor appreciation.
  • Ensure facility is ready to accommodate incoming donations and shopping traffic.
  • Oversee sorting, pricing, merchandising and storage of donated goods.
  • Oversee accurate count and record keeping of salvage clothing.
  • Manage the removal of Paid-in-Full items from sales floor to maximize return on square footage.
  • Promote workplace safety culture for employees and customers.
  • Train and supervise all employees and volunteers.
  • Follow and enforce all cash handling policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for daily opening and closing procedures, including all transaction processes.
