About The Position

Assisting the Store Manager at the location, whether the Store Manager is present or not. This role is crucial for the 24/7 operation of the business, involving daily responsibilities such as counting and depositing money, being on-site as needed to run the store, and being available 24/7 via a company-issued cell phone for emergencies. The position may require relocation to manage different sites and undertaking tasks beyond specific job duties. Responsibilities include traveling to store locations, ensuring excellent customer service, training sales associates, implementing marketing programs, handling various financial transactions and merchandise, managing inventory and pricing, maintaining site appearance and cleanliness, performing basic maintenance, and overseeing security systems. The role is physically demanding, requiring lifting, moving, walking, and standing daily. Recommendations for enhancements and effective merchandising are also part of the role.

Requirements

  • Have their own transportation.
  • High School diploma.
  • Available for training.
  • Knowledge or can learn business related software.

  • Associates Degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and successful retail management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Count and deposit money on Saturdays and Sundays as required.
  • Be on-site whenever needed to run the store.
  • Be available by company-issued cellular phone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for emergency and informational requirements.
  • Transition and relocate to manage sites based on the needs of the organization.
  • Acquire tasks that may require attention regardless of job specificity.
  • Travel to store locations when needed.
  • Assure training to sales associates in all areas of operation.
  • Assure fast, friendly, convenient and courteous customer service.
  • Train, implement marketing programs and policies.
  • Assure proper handling of cash, checks, credit cards, coupons, lottery, western union, and all merchandises.
  • Assure adequate inventory, price controls and implementation of approved motor fuels pricing direction.
  • Assure entire location maintenance and appearance continually meet image standards and expectations.
  • Clean the site and perform basic maintenance daily.
  • Assure regular checks and proper maintenance of security system where applicable.
  • Recommend enhancements.
  • Assure effective merchandising through display, pricing promotion and service.
  • Perform any other requirement that the Store Manager/District Manager and needs of the business require.
