About The Position

The Akron Assistant Store Manager helps oversee the daily operation of the store including business development and sales and gross profit growth through engagement with end user and commercial printing customers. This role aids in managing a small team, creating and maintaining an appealing store image, and fostering a secure environment. The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for a smooth running, adequately staffed operation from open to close to provide best-in-class service to our customers. This includes efficiently handling requests for quotations, orders, order changes, adjustments, cancellations, and lead times from customers through in-person sales, telephone, email, and e-commerce. The role involves developing, maintaining, and fostering solid customer relationships, utilizing the ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics 365) for order entry and customer information retrieval, and making weekly sales calls on current and potential customers to support business growth. The Assistant Store Manager will also teach and train others on best practices, define key target customers, track progression through metrics, manage key accounts, provide customer solutions, and coordinate with Supply Chain management and vendors for inventory. Additional responsibilities include supporting the monthly Feature List, collaborating in AR and Credit activities, handling banking, executing CRM and customer communication, and performing warehouse duties such as stock fulfillment, loading/unloading deliveries, receiving product, and conducting cycle counts. The role requires the ability to use Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and collaborate with store personnel and outside sources for efficient paper movement. The Assistant Store Manager will also aid in hiring, training, developing, evaluating, scheduling, and retaining store personnel, and manage the store team’s time and attendance using ADP’s Time and Attendance system.   • 3-5 years of managerial or supervisory experience in a retail/wholesale sales and service environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience is highly beneficial.
  • Paper (terminology and grades), packaging, wide format, janitorial and office supply experience is highly beneficial and preferred.

Responsibilities
