About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager helps lead the Alumni Hall retail store, supports the Store Manager in daily business operations, and helps create a high-performing team and a superior customer experience. The role supervises Key Holders and Sales Associates and contributes to recruiting, training, coaching, performance management, visual merchandising, sales results, and store operations.

Requirements

Minimum high school degree or equivalent.
Minimum 1 year of retail management experience.
Ability to lead a team, delegate, and follow up.
Ability to train and develop employees.
Ability to work well within a team.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work a schedule based on business needs, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
Strong verbal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Motivate the team by communicating the Alumni Hall vision.
Demonstrate passion for the Alumni Hall brand and help set the standard for daily business operations.
Participate in productive monthly staff meetings.
Recruit, hire, train, and develop a high-energy, high-performance team that provides a superior customer experience.
Coach team members in their responsibilities to increase confidence and productivity.
Ensure team members adhere to employment policies.
Recognize performance issues and assist the Store Manager in developing action plans.
Assist the Store Manager with the performance review process.
Create an enjoyable atmosphere for customers and employees.
Manage merchandise receipt, processing, placement, replenishment, and markdowns.
Maintain clean and neat standards for the sales floor, cash wrap, and fitting rooms.
Open and close the store, handle deposits, and follow daily operational expectations.
Ensure E-commerce orders are filled and processed quickly and efficiently according to company standards.
Work toward daily, monthly, and annual sales goals and shrink goals.
Maintain operational standards to secure store assets.
Assist the Store Manager in achieving UPT, ADS, and E-Mail Capture goals.
Assist the Store Manager with proper scheduling practices.
