About The Position

As an Assistant Manager, you’ll help lead your team, support daily store operations, and create an exceptional experience for every customer. You’ll coach Team Members, keep the store running smoothly, and help drive a culture of service, teamwork, and accountability. You’ll help create the Maverik experience by providing great customer service, supporting your team, and keeping the store running smoothly. You’ll have a real opportunity to coach Team Members, build your leadership skills, and make a difference for customers every day. This position will be cross-trained between Food Service and Front-of-Store.

Requirements

• Must be 21+ to apply.
• Flexible Schedule: Our 24/7 stores require your flexibility, including potentially working nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Interpersonal & Communication Skills: Engage effectively with Team Members and provide exceptional customer experiences through strong communication skills.
• Collected & Composed: Remain calm and collected under high-pressure situations while still delivering exceptional customer service.
• Effective Problem Solving: Possess strong problem-solving skills with the ability to recognize and analyze an issue while creating effective solutions.
• Food Safety Certification: Must obtain and maintain the food safety certification required by the applicable state or local jurisdiction.

Nice To Haves

• 1 year+ of supervisory experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Champion Maverik’s GET (Greet, Engage, and Thank) customer service expectations by modeling the behaviors, coaching Team Members on consistent execution, and holding the team accountable for a welcoming and engaging customer experience.
• Jump in alongside your team when needed and help ensure the store and Food Service operation are running smoothly.
• Assist with the training, mentoring, and supervision of all Team Members.
