About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager I position is located at the Leonard Charlotte location, with operations in the U.S., and has overall responsibility for overseeing all aspects of construction projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, safety protocols, and quality standards for shed buildings and truck accessories at Leonard. This position reports directly to the Store Manager and does not have direct reports.

Requirements

  • Must PASS a background and a drug test.
  • Proven experience in a similar role in the retail sector.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A strong commitment to customer service.
  • Understanding of Point of Sales systems.
  • Understanding of store operations and merchandising techniques.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, which may include holidays and weekends.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience in sales.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, a related field, or equivalent job experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assists the Store Manager in all areas of daily operations including sales, customer service, and staff coordination.
  • Assists with merchandising, inventory control, loss prevention, restocking, store cleaning.
  • Ensures high levels of customer satisfaction by being knowledgeable on all products offered and teaming up with co-workers to provide excellent sales service.
  • Assists with the development and implementation of marketing strategies for the store to drive sales.
  • Helps manage cash and inventory levels according to company standards.
  • Assists in the training and development of staff to enhance sales and service performance, operational effectiveness, and positive customer interaction.
  • Ensures the store is in compliance with all company policies and operational guidelines.
  • Achieves financial objectives by effectively controlling expenses.
  • Identifies current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers to understand service needs.
  • Protects employees and customers by providing a safe, clean, and well-organized store.
