About The Position

As Assistant Store Manager, Community & Operations, you will partner closely with the Store Manager to lead daily operations, develop a high-performing team, drive commercial results and help build a thriving community around natural movement and barefoot living. You will serve as a brand ambassador both inside and outside the store, helping establish SoHo as Vivobarefoot’s leading community hub for natural movement and wellbeing in North America.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of retail leadership experience.
  • Experience in premium, lifestyle, footwear, wellness or specialty retail preferred.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, communication and organisational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and create community.
  • Comfortable leading events, workshops and group experiences.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Passion for movement, wellbeing, sustainability and personal development.
  • Interest in future leadership opportunities as Vivobarefoot expands in North America.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer experiences and embody the Vivobarefoot mission.
  • Coach team members to confidently communicate natural movement and barefoot footwear benefits.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, training and development.
  • Lead daily huddles and ongoing coaching conversations.
  • Support achievement of sales, conversion, ATV, UPT and profitability goals.
  • Analyse performance metrics and identify growth opportunities.
  • Lead daily store operations in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Support scheduling, payroll, compliance and stockroom organisation.
  • Support run clubs, walks, workshops and educational events.
  • Build relationships with local wellness, fitness, healthcare and movement partners.
  • Support execution of the store’s community activation calendar.
  • Develop meaningful customer relationships that drive loyalty and repeat visits.
  • Support VIP outreach and community engagement initiatives.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and stock integrity.
  • Execute premium visual merchandising standards and product storytelling.
