About The Position

The Assistant Store Leader ensures Team Members are safe, happy, fulfilled, and successful, and demonstrates ABC’s Core Values with Guests and Team Members. This role assists the Store Leader in overseeing store operations and fills in when the Store Leader is unavailable. The Assistant Store Leader drives performance goals, supports the team, and delivers excellent Guest service. The role requires regular, predictable onsite attendance for the duration of scheduled shifts. Physical duties include standing and moving for extended periods, bending, lifting and twisting, moving or transporting products weighing up to 40 pounds, occasional overhead lifting, and using ladders or step stools. The position involves frequent movement between the sales floor, stockroom, and exterior areas. Work conditions may include outdoor weather, refrigerated areas, cleaning-product fumes or airborne particles, elevated work locations, and moderate noise.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years old.
At least 6 months of proven experience and/or training in a management or leadership role; or at least 1 year of college or technical-school education in Business Management or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Completion of the LIT program also satisfies this requirement.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as business needs demand.
Maintain regular and predictable onsite attendance and remain onsite for scheduled shifts.
Ability to meet the stated physical and vision requirements, with or without accommodations.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate ABC’s Core Values with Guests and Team Members.
Participate in Team Member performance management through timely feedback, coaching, encouragement, and documentation as needed.
Greet Guests and provide excellent service while ensuring service standards are met.
Drive store performance metrics, including average transaction, Sourced & Certified sales percentage, and overall business growth.
Manage and resolve conflict among Team Members or Guests using sound judgment and professionalism.
Oversee inventory control, replenishment, and merchandising guidelines.
Stay current on required training, company policies, and product knowledge to support compliance and informed Guest service.
Learn ABC Fine Wine & Spirits’ products and share product knowledge with Guests and Team Members.
Follow and enforce operational compliance policies to ensure safety.
Perform management duties including opening and closing the store, cash-control reconciliation, delegating tasks, assisting with hiring and training, conducting performance reviews, and handling disciplinary actions and terminations.
Perform additional duties assigned by store leadership.
