Responsibilities

  • Lead and champion customer service programs to meet or exceed store and division goals while fostering a culture of exceptional service.
  • Oversee total store operations in the absence of the Store Director, directing employees and department managers as needed.
  • Plan, organize, and manage daily operations of the Grocery Department, including dairy, frozen, liquor/beer, and merchandising activities.
  • Monitor product quality, inventory levels, pricing accuracy, and compliance with sanitation, safety, and company standards.
  • Supervise receiving, stocking, pricing, and merchandising of products, ensuring proper inventory management and shrink control.
  • Hire, train, schedule, coach, and evaluate department employees while supporting development and succession planning.
  • Analyze sales, labor, and financial performance, including profit and loss statements, to drive business results and achieve targets.
  • Resolve customer and employee concerns, maintain strong vendor relationships, and ensure effective communication across teams.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and employment practices, reporting and addressing issues as needed.
