Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee daily operations of the Grocery Department (including dairy, frozen, and liquor/beer), ensuring sales and profit objectives are achieved.
  • Direct overall store operations in the absence of the Store Director, including supervising department managers and store employees.
  • Champion and model exceptional customer service, fostering a customer-first culture across the store.
  • Plan, organize, and monitor department operations, including product quality, inventory levels, pricing accuracy, and merchandising standards.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, security, and company policies and procedures.
  • Manage inventory, ordering, shrink control, and physical inventory counts.
  • Hire, train, schedule, and develop employees, while monitoring performance and recommending personnel actions.
  • Analyze financial performance (P&L, sales, labor) and implement plans to drive profitability and sales growth.
  • Maintain effective vendor relationships and resolve customer concerns in a professional manner.
