About The Position

Millcroft Inn & Spa is currently seeking an Assistant Spa Manager to join our growing team! This is a great opportunity that can provide flexibility, valuable work experience, and a chance to work with a tenured team.

Position Summary: Responsible to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Spa consistent with the functioning a first-class spa and treatment facility.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years hands-on experience in a Spa
• Basic accounting principles such as Accounts Payable/Receivable, Cash Receipts, understanding of budgetary concepts
• Professional appearance and mannerisms due to high level of public involvement
• Excellent communication skills both written and oral
• Good mathematical skills
• Superlative interpersonal skills, especially leadership
• Outgoing personality with strong sales ability
• Confidence in selling and up-selling products and services
• Positive sales-oriented personality
• Desire to meet goals
• Ethical and honest
• Tact and diplomacy skills for negotiations with potentially difficult situations
• Patience and listening skills must be well developed
• Proven problem-solving abilities

Nice To Haves

• Previous up-selling and/or sales experience is considered an asset
• Second language beneficial but not a requirement

Responsibilities

• Providing personalized and exceptional guest service at every given opportunity
• Meeting established up-selling and sales goals
• Assists the Spa Manager in ensuring the level of service performed by the Spa Team is characteristic of a four-diamond hotel rating
• Responsible for assisting with training and monitoring of Spa Team Members
• Assists the Spa Manager with the scheduling of all contract Personnel/Concierges/Supervisors
• Takes an active role in promoting the hotel’s services and facilities as well as performing site inspections as required
• Assists the Spa Manager in the development and implementation of Spa Standard Operating Procedures
• Assists the Spa Manager in the development and preparation of annual department budget
• Monitors inventory levels to ensure adequate supplies are available
• Reports in a proactive and timely manner any maintenance deficiencies to the Maintenance Department and thoroughly follows-up
• Performs Spa Concierge duties as necessary to accommodate absences or business demands
• Attends and contributes to Management meetings in the Spa Manager’s absence
• Filling Duty Manager shifts when required
• Having a thorough knowledge of Lais Hotel Properties’ products and services
• Suggesting additional products and services meeting our Guests’ specific preferences
• Assessing Guests’ individual needs to meet standards for additional products and services
• Actively seeking ways to meet Guests’ product or service needs
• All other duties as assigned
