About The Position

Instruct student-athletes in ways to strengthen their Soccer Skills and teamwork skills. Skills in Soccer with a solid understanding of rules, gameplay, and training techniques. Exceptional Communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, staff, and administration. Proficiency in Coaching strategies and in leading and mentoring student-athletes. Monitor student-athletes academic and athletic performance. Proven ability to create a positive and inclusive team environment. Additional Duties as assigned to support the overall function of the athletic department. Potentially teach limited classes as assigned in Health & Human Performance. Serve as an assistant in Game Operations for selected sports. Contribute to student growth and development. Support Minnesota State University Moorhead's strategic priority of creating a campus community that is diverse, inclusive, globally aware, and just.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Commitment to academic success of student-athletes.
  • Coaching experience at collegiate level or Club Level.
  • Ability to recruit top level student-athletes.
  • Effective communication and computer skills.
  • The successful candidate must be able to lawfully accept employment in the United States by the day employment begins.
  • Official transcript(s) from all degree granting institutions must be provided to the Office of Human Resources prior to first duty day.
  • faculty and staff driving on college/university business, who use a rental or state vehicle, shall be required to complete a vehicle Use Agreement form and conform to Minnesota State College and Universities vehicle use criteria and consent to a motor vehicle records check.

Nice To Haves

  • Skills/ability to integrate technology to enhance learning and teaching.
  • Two years of Collegiate Soccer coaching.
  • Knowledge of NCAA Division II and the NSIC conference rules and regulations.
