About The Position

This position involves instructing student-athletes in soccer skills and teamwork, monitoring their academic and athletic performance, and contributing to a positive and inclusive team environment. The role also includes potential teaching assignments in Health & Human Performance and assisting with Game Operations for selected sports. The position supports Minnesota State University Moorhead's strategic priority of creating a diverse, inclusive, globally aware, and just campus community.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Commitment to academic success of student-athletes.
  • Coaching experience at collegiate level or Club Level.
  • Ability to recruit top level student-athletes.
  • Effective communication and computer skills.
  • Must be able to lawfully accept employment in the United States by the day employment begins.
  • Official transcript(s) from all degree granting institutions must be provided to the Office of Human Resources prior to first duty day.
  • Conform to Minnesota State College and Universities vehicle use criteria and consent to a motor vehicle records check.

Nice To Haves

  • Skills/ability to integrate technology to enhance learning and teaching.
  • Two years of Collegiate Soccer coaching.
  • Knowledge of NCAA Division II and the NSIC conference rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Instruct student-athletes in ways to strengthen their Soccer Skills and teamwork skills.
  • Monitor student-athletes academic and athletic performance.
  • Create a positive and inclusive team environment.
  • Potentially teach limited classes as assigned in Health & Human Performance.
  • Serve as an assistant in Game Operations for selected sports.
  • Contribute to student growth and development.
  • Support Minnesota State University Moorhead's strategic priority of creating a campus community that is diverse, inclusive, globally aware, and just.
