About The Position

Bayfield Mall Storage Inc. is seeking a proactive and hands-on Assistant Site Manager to support daily operations at their facility. This role is crucial for overseeing facility operations, delivering excellent customer service, and supporting financial performance while maintaining a safe, efficient, and well-maintained site. The Assistant Site Manager will work closely with the Site Manager to guide the team, ensure consistent execution of processes and standards, and contribute to positive customer experiences. The position requires adaptability, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to operational excellence in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of customer service, site management and sales experience with proven ability to handle customer interactions professionally.
  • Strong organizational and administrative accuracy, including payment handling and reporting.
  • Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and maintain a high standard of cleanliness, safety, and customer service.
  • Post-secondary education in business, operations, management, or a related field.
  • Experience with facility operations, basic maintenance tasks, or building systems.
  • Exposure to sales driven environments, local marketing efforts, or community engagement initiatives.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high quality customer service by assisting with inquiries, tours, rentals, reservations, and follow up communications.
  • Execute sales processes including presenting storage options, pricing, promotions, agreements, and value-added products (locks, insurance, packing supplies).
  • Execute the rental workflow including inquiries, tours, quoting, agreements, move ins, renewals, and move outs with accuracy.
  • Represent the business with professionalism and contribute to positive customer reviews and community reputation.
  • Support the daily operations of the Bayfield Mall Storage facility, ensuring a clean, safe, secure, and customer ready property at all times.
  • Perform routine property inspections, ensuring unit readiness, cleanliness, lighting checks, and basic maintenance tasks.
  • Monitor and report on facility security systems, access logs, and irregularities.
  • Conduct and document daily site inspections for cleanliness, safety, and security; complete maintenance logs and follow ups.
  • Maintain unit inventory accuracy, ensuring units labeled rent ready are physically verified.
  • Maintain accurate administrative records including payments, receipts, customer files, inventory, and unit status.
  • Process payments, deposits, and account updates with 100% accuracy.
  • Generate daily/weekly/monthly administrative reports as required by management.
  • Support delinquency management including customer outreach, lock checks, notices, and auction preparation.
  • Complete lock checks, overlocks, and delinquency follow ups according to company processes.
  • Assist with onboarding and mentoring team members; act as keyholder and site lead in the Property Manager’s absence.
  • Provide training support for new hires and uphold consistent service practices.
  • Maintain compliance with operational policies, safety procedures, fire code standards, and incident reporting.
  • Support marketing efforts including signage updates, promotion displays, and assisting with referral tracking.
