About The Position

DashMart is a local-fulfillment center owned and operated by DoorDash, offering customers household essentials and other items to their doorsteps with speed, reliability, and quality. In this role, you will work within a 5-15k sq ft distribution center, assist in leading the local warehouse operating team, and in some locations, prepare food in a light-prep kitchen. You will also help the Site Manager ensure high quality for customers.

Requirements

  • Proven leader with experience managing high-performance teams of 5+ employees with successful performance and employee development outcomes.
  • Excited to have ownership in a new and rapidly growing business, ready to show up however needed for the team.
  • Solves problems from first principles, excited to solve problems in innovative ways, and resists "this is how it's always been done" thinking.
  • Unafraid of ambiguity, thrives in rapid change and learning in ambiguous, startup environments.
  • Analytical, data-first problem solver with experience using Excel or Google Sheets to analyze data, including basic formulas and pivot tables.
  • 3+ years’ experience in Operations, Warehouse Logistics, Customer Service, Retail Management, Fulfillment, or related field.
  • 1+ years of experience managing a team.
  • Flexibility in your schedule, including regularly scheduled late-night and weekend hours, to ensure team and site support.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of hourly Operations Associates and Shift Leads, demonstrating compassion and commitment to inclusivity.
  • Hire, coach, and develop high-performing team members, fostering a safety-first culture.
  • Serve as a leading change agent for your site, guiding the team through new initiatives and growth projects.
  • Tackle onsite escalations, coordinating with cross-functional partners.
  • Drive results in one or more specific focus areas or a specific shift for your site.
  • Achieve performance targets through effective scheduling and by executing inventory management processes and deploying best practices.
  • Engage cross-functional partners as needed for support.
  • Analyze data and make strategic recommendations and execute actions regarding resource allocation, workflow, and warehouse organization within assigned focus areas.
  • Lead process improvement projects.
  • Coach and empower your team to provide a high-quality customer experience with every order, focusing on order accuracy and fulfillment speed.
  • Work cross-functionally with central teams (inventory, training) to ensure the team has necessary tools and resources.
