About The Position

Brookfield Residential, a leading North American land developer and homebuilder for over 65 years, is seeking an Assistant Site Manager to assist the Site Manager in planning and coordinating construction procedures, specifications, schedules, and material requirements. The role involves conducting regular inspections of work in progress to ensure compliance with project specifications, adherence to schedules, and alignment with Brookfield Residential Quality Standards. The Assistant Site Manager will play a key role in safely constructing homes on schedule and within budget, delivering high-quality homes through effective management of subcontractors, and ensuring full compliance with contractual requirements. They will motivate subcontractors and suppliers, demonstrate strong knowledge of construction details when interacting with customers, and build positive customer relationships through timely execution and responsive service. The position also requires ensuring compliance with all applicable governmental regulations and adhering to established quality control inspection procedures and guidelines, including completing all quality control punch lists and homeowner walk-through lists within one week.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as an Assistant Superintendent on commercial, residential, or industrial building construction
  • Working knowledge of computer programs, Build Pro, Word, Excel
  • Must be able to multi-task and work well under pressure
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills and effective interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Safely construct homes on schedule and within budget.
  • Deliver high-quality homes through the management of subcontractors, ensuring full compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Motivate subcontractors and suppliers to achieve the level of quality and performance required to meet company objectives.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of construction details when interacting with customers to ensure homes meet or exceed expectations.
  • Build and maintain positive customer relationships through timely execution and responsive service, driving overall satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable governmental regulations related to land development and residential construction within the jurisdiction.
  • Adhere to established quality control inspection procedures and guidelines.
  • Complete all quality control punch lists.
  • Support and maintain adherence to the construction schedule.
  • Complete homeowner walk through lists within one (1) week and obtain customer sign-off.
