Arc Experience brings learning to life through before and after-school programs that serve youth across Southern California. The Assistant Site Coordinator has a dual role, working directly with students while also having leadership and administrative responsibilities. This role involves working with administrative staff at the school, developing lesson plans, tracking attendance, and ensuring grant compliance. Requirements

At least 2 years of experience working in after-school programs or youth recreation, especially in ethnically and culturally diverse communities.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact comfortably with both children and parents.
48+ college credit units completed OR passing an academic proficiency exam.
A negative TB test result (proof required).
Pass a Live Scan background check.
Ability to reliably commute to the job location.

Nice To Haves

English-Spanish bilingual skills.
Proof of full Covid-19 vaccination (if required by the school).

Responsibilities

Assist the Site Coordinator by acting as the second point of contact for parents and administrators.
Oversee the safety and well-being of students during after-school activities.
Establish and enforce rules and expectations to promote positive behavior.
Coordinate, manage, and be involved in indoor and outdoor enrichment activities.
Attend trainings or staff meetings to stay updated on best practices in childcare, safety, and program management.
Address challenging behavior constructively, involving supervisors or parents if necessary.
Facilitate sign-up procedures to ensure accurate attendance tracking.
Create unique clubs for students, such as career readiness, cooking, anime, and dance.
Organize and lead a variety of activities, including homework help, recreational games, arts and crafts, and educational projects.
