About The Position

The Assistant Shop Manager will spend the majority of their time in the shop, leading with an eyes-on-production mindset. This role partners with the Shop Manager to ensure excellent communication from the front door to the shop floor, implements and holds employees accountable to policies outlined in the B Street Employee Handbook, and identifies, creates, and maintains a positive culture within the team. The Assistant Shop Manager will also take part in ensuring quality control checks are completed, and that employees are meeting safety and OSHA standards. This role involves managing, training, and hiring Detailers and the detail department, handling all sublets and sublet communication, and performing quality control of all completed vehicles. The Assistant Shop Manager will utilize a variety of management and estimating systems and train with the Shop Manager to understand business financials and meet financial goals. Significant time will be spent training in each department before taking on management responsibilities to ensure the individual is set up for success as a leader and fully understands all facets of the business.

Requirements

  • Must be able to lift, squat, kneel, bend and manage car parts in excess of 50 pounds.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

  • 2-5 years of experience in the auto body/ automotive/ dealership industry, or relatable field preferred but not required. We will teach and train the right candidate.
