About The Position

The Assistant Shop Manager is a senior leadership role responsible for supporting the overall success and growth of the Drybar shop. This position partners closely with the Shop Manager to drive revenue, lead the team, strengthen marketing initiatives, and maintain operational excellence. The Assistant Shop Manager helps build a high-performing team culture while ensuring Drybar’s brand standards and client experience remain exceptional.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a salon or hospitality leadership role.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to analyze performance data and implement growth strategies.

Nice To Haves

  • Active state-issued Cosmetology License preferred.
  • Experience with Booker, Canva, or similar operational systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and manage key performance indicators to support revenue growth.
  • Set and monitor team sales goals related to services, retail, and memberships.
  • Lead retail initiatives, product launches, and upselling strategies.
  • Develop initiatives that increase client retention and repeat visits.
  • Lead the shop’s social media presence and content development.
  • Assist the shop manager with planning and executing marketing campaigns, community partnerships, and in-store events.
  • Build relationships with local businesses, schools, and organizations to support community outreach.
  • Support recruiting, interviewing, and hiring of stylists and bartenders.
  • Mentor leadership team members, including Education Leads and Operations Coordinators.
  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on client experience and team engagement.
  • Reinforce a positive team culture, focused on the Drybar Core Values.
  • Serve as Manager-on-Duty when the Shop Manager is unavailable.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and service protocols.
  • Monitor inventory levels and oversee ordering processes.
  • Assist with Booker management and staff scheduling.
  • Ensure optimized schedule and monitor utilization and labor efficiency.
  • Maintain shop organization, cleanliness, and operational efficiency.
  • Exceed client experience expectations to deliver top tier satisfaction results through google and client service reviews.
  • Provide performance reports and operational updates to senior leadership.
  • Partner with the Shop Manager to develop strategies that improve shop profitability through effective management of expenses.
