About The Position

The Assistant Shipping Supervisor assists the department supervisor in overseeing shipping operations and ensuring company standards are met. The role promotes efficiency and continuous improvement, supports safety and timely, accurate shipments, and may cover for the supervisor during absences. It also performs shipping and production duties as needed.

The schedule is Tuesday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Friday, 5:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Overtime may be required based on demand. The salary is $27.35 per hour, increasing to $28.85 per hour within six months.

Requirements

• Two years of supervisory experience.
• Highly organized and deadline-driven.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to lift 25 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with RF scanners, pallet jacks, forklifts, and pallet wrappers is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Promote efficiency and continuous improvement.
• Conduct new-hire and ongoing safety training.
• Ensure shipments are timely and accurate.
• Enforce company policies, safety procedures, and standard operating procedures.
• Report safety concerns and operational issues.
• Serve as the supervisor during absences.
• Perform shipping and production duties as needed.
