Requirements

  • Proven experience in heavy-duty truck service, repair, or maintenance
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of parts operations and inventory management
  • Familiarity with CDK or similar dealership management software (a significant plus)
  • Certifications from Cummins or other relevant industry certifications are advantageous
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Service Manager in overseeing daily shop operations and ensuring efficient workflow
  • Support technicians on job sites, helping to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues
  • Coordinate and prioritize service jobs to ensure timely completion and customer satisfaction
  • Manage parts inventory, ordering, and stocking to support service operations
  • Facilitate communication between technicians, parts department, and customers
  • Help with job scheduling, documentation, and maintaining service records
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and dealership policies
  • Contribute to a positive team environment and promote a culture of continuous improvement
