About The Position

The Assistant Service Manager is responsible for ensuring awareness of customer requirements and customer-specific running procedures. This role involves planning field installations to ensure the availability of proper tools, spares, backup equipment, and qualified associates. The position also assists with logistics, including travel to locations. The Assistant Service Manager will also supervise department personnel, including interviewing, hiring, training, mentoring, coaching, counseling, and taking corrective action when necessary. They will assign qualified service associates, confirm safety certifications, and determine if new service associates can be paired with veteran associates for on-the-job training. The role involves preparing and assembling Service Job Packages, identifying job locations, service tools, spare parts, and special customer requirements. Additionally, the Assistant Service Manager performs all functional responsibilities of a service associate and undertakes special projects as directed by management. This position operates in an industrial/field environment and requires adherence to safety protocols and the use of PPE.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or five to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of Cactus Wellhead Products, Service Documentation and Record Keeping
  • Wellhead and Valve Installation, Operation, and Maintenance, Corrective Action and Field Complaint Investigations.
  • Equipment Troubleshooting of Cactus Wellhead and Other OEM Equipment
  • Customer Relationships and Networking, Customer Service Best Practices.
  • Intermediate Computer Skills
  • Advanced Mathematical and Language Skills
  • Advanced Reasoning Ability.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE)

Responsibilities

  • Placing Service Job Package in service associate’s file.
  • Inspecting equipment prior to shipping.
  • Performing all functional responsibilities of a service associate.
  • Undertaking special projects or assignments as directed by management.
  • Practicing safe work habits and complying with all quality, safety, health and environmental policies, procedures, programs and regulations.
