About The Position

The Anthem is seeking an Assistant Director of Security to report directly to the Director of Security. This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position located in Washington, DC, with working hours that vary based on the venue's schedule. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in concert venues, ticketed event spaces, or public events. The role encompasses event operations and oversight, staff management and development, and various administrative duties, requiring strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience working in a concert venue, ticketed event spaces or public events.
  • Previous experience developing and implementing training programs.
  • Proficient in the Google Suite, including Gmail, Drive, Docs, and Sheets.
  • Skilled in creating, uploading, and sharing documents within Google Docs and Google Sheets.
  • Competent in creating tables using Google Docs.
  • Possesses basic computer literacy.
  • Prior experience with operating closed-circuit television equipment.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities.
  • Demonstrated understanding of command structure and operations.
  • Proven ability to maintain composure and effectiveness while working under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong leadership and instructional capabilities.
  • Proficiency in developing training materials and applying event protocols.
  • Team player who can work with a very diverse staff.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the liaison with touring security and management.
  • Ensure the venue and all staff are prepared for show call.
  • Document significant events during the show and submit comprehensive summaries upon event conclusion.
  • Work closely with Crowd Management Supervisors to manage and oversee staff deployment and security protocols.
  • Supervise staff throughout all events.
  • Assess staffing requirements and assign personnel accordingly.
  • Assist the Director of Security with staff hiring, training, and scheduling.
  • Develop and implement training programs.
  • Attend all weekly staff meetings, required team meetings and training.
  • Proficiently use the Google Suite, including Gmail, Drive, Docs, and Sheets.
  • Create, upload, and share documents within Google Docs and Google Sheets.
  • Create tables using Google Docs.
  • Operate closed-circuit television equipment.
