About The Position

This position involves providing friendly and courteous service to customers, maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the seafood department, preparing and handling seafood products, and performing suggestive selling and sampling. The role requires regular attendance, adherence to safety and sanitation procedures, and the ability to work in a cold environment. Additional duties may be assigned by store management.

Requirements

• Regular, reliable attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Must be able to work in a cold, damp environment
• Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds
• Working on feet entire shift (4-8 hours)
• Minimum of six months employment with Schnucks preferred (for Store/Facility Teammates)
• Minimum of one year employment with Schnucks preferred (for Store Support Center Teammates)
• Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline)
• If invited for an interview, must have manager approval based on performance.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and courteous service to customers
• Maintain cleanliness of work area, equipment, seafood cases, and backroom
• Prepare product for cases
• Pull product from cases for proper storage at closing
• Handle live seafood
• Prepare party trays and selected seafood
• Suggestive selling and sampling products for customers
• Cook-fry and steam product for customers
• Follow company safety and sanitation procedures
