About The Position

Corewell Health Troy Hospital, recognized for its excellence in patient care and innovation, is seeking an Assistant RN Manager for its Family Birth Center. This role is part of the leadership team within the Labor & Delivery department, reporting to the Labor & Delivery Nurse Manager. The Assistant Nurse Manager will partner with other Assistant Nurse Managers to foster an environment where families feel cared for and staff feel empowered. The scope of work involves the effective implementation of the hospital's and nursing department's philosophy, goals, policies, and procedures, with a direct impact on patient care within the department.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) Required (Effective June 1, 2025).
• Two+ years of clinical (labor & delivery) experience Required.
• MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required.
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required.
• AAP Certified Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) Required.
• NCC Certified Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) within six months Required.

Nice To Haves

• Participation in leadership activities (Unit, hospital or system Shared Governance meetings, Precepting, Charge nurse role) Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Assistant Nurse Managers for Mother/Baby and NICU Pediatrics.
• Report to the Labor & Delivery Nurse Manager.
• Help shape an environment where families feel cared for and staff feel empowered.
• Have responsibility for the effective implementation of the philosophy, goals, policies, and procedures of the hospital and the nursing department and their effect on patient care in the department.
