About The Position

This is a full-time Assistant Retail Manager position focused on supporting the Retail Store Manager in daily operations. The role involves overseeing merchandise, administrative duties, personnel, and ensuring adherence to store policies and safety regulations. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of two (2) years experience in retail operations required.
Proficient in the use of computers and Microsoft office suite.
Maintain accurate records and reports pertinent to retail store operation.
Demonstrate accuracy with accounting and book keeping.
Handle customer complaints in a courteous and responsible manner.
Must be able to provide positive internal and external customer relations and to easily interact and work with individuals referred for training.
Maintain a good driving record, valid insurance, valid driver license.
Maintain a valid powered industrial truck license, when required.

Nice To Haves

Supervisory experience preferred.
Kaizen principles: follow 5S Checklist, procedures, signage, and layout.

Responsibilities

Assist store management with the execution of daily operations of a retail store, excluding personnel issues.
Assist the Retail Store Manager with general operations, including acquisition, display, and sale of merchandise to include rotation of goods, pricing, adequate inventory, etc.
Perform administrative and clerical duties of store operations, providing sales reports and accurate retail information on a timely basis.
Oversee all personnel, clients and volunteers assigned to the retail store.
Direct training and assist with employee performance evaluations.
Handle personnel issues, provide proper documentation and assist with corrective actions when required.
Enforce store procedures and GIWM policies on a day-to-day basis.
Ensure grounds and building are properly maintained, reporting need for repairs and recommending replacement as necessary.
Enhance security and loss prevention.
Ensure safety compliance for all OSHA/MIOSHA requirements, and GIWM safety regulations are adhered to.
Perform job functions of a Lead Cashier, Retail Associate, as required.
