Join Arbor Day Farm as an Assistant Restaurant Supervisor and help create meaningful guest experiences while advancing the Foundation’s mission right here in Nebraska City. You’ll report to our Restaurant Manager. You’ll collaborate with leaders and team members across the property, including Culinary. Requirements

  • 2+ years of restaurant, hospitality, or food and beverage leadership experience.
  • Experience in a bar, lounge, or bartending environment required.
  • Ability to lead in a fast-paced restaurant environment while balancing guest experience, team development, and operational execution.
  • Strong understanding of front-of-house operations and the ability to communicate effectively with both front- and back-of-house teams.
  • Passion for hospitality, service, and the Foundation's mission.
  • Team-first mindset.
  • Strong communication and coaching skills.
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

  • Lead. Guide, mentor, coach, and assist Team Members in restaurant and lounge operations to ensure they feel supported and have the tools they need to perform at a high level.
  • Be present on the floor. Maintain a visible leadership presence during service, coaching Team Members in real time, supporting service standards, and helping create exceptional guest experiences.
  • Engage with guests. From the moment they arrive and throughout their visit, you'll help ensure guests feel welcomed, valued, and cared for while resolving concerns and creating memorable experiences.
  • Support daily operations. Assist with scheduling, staffing, opening and closing responsibilities, beverage ordering and inventory management, and other operational needs that keep the restaurant running smoothly.
  • Partner with Culinary. Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure communication, coordination, and execution are seamless between front- and back-of-house operations.
  • Lead during peak business periods. Provide leadership coverage during evenings, weekends, holidays, special events, and seasonal high-volume periods.
