Live-in Assistant Resident Manager, Kent Street - Halifax, NS
About The Position
Killam Apartment REIT, based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, is one of Canada's largest residential real estate investment trusts, owning, operating, and developing a $5.3 billion portfolio of apartments and manufactured home communities. Killam's strategy to drive value and profitability focuses on three priorities: (1) increase earnings from the existing portfolio; (2) expand the portfolio and diversify geographically through accretive acquisitions, targeting newer properties and dispositions of non-core assets; and (3) develop high-quality properties in its core markets. We currently have an opportunity available on our team for a customer-focused, energetic live-in Assistant Resident Manager for our Kent Street portfolio in Halifax. This position will entail up to 30 hours of cleaning per week, light administrative duties and participation in an on-call rotation.
Requirements
- Previous experience in cleaning, and customer service
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment with minimum supervision
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience with Property Management industry and/or as a building superintendent is an asset
Responsibilities
- Shared on-call responsibilities
- Cleaning duties, including daily and weekly tasks
- Tenant relations, inquiries and rental calls
- First-line problem solving to manage tenant issues and build relations
- Some administrative tasks, as needed
