Assistant Resident Manager 2-Person Team (Apartment Building)
About The Position
Realstar is seeking an Assistant Resident Manager Team for MacDonald Estates in Edmonton. This is a live-in, full-time opportunity for two people to work and reside together as a team, taking pride in a beautiful property and building strong relationships with residents. As part of the team, you will live on-site and share responsibility for the day-to-day upkeep and operation of the building. Your work will include exceptional customer service, general cleaning, and minor maintenance, all in support of the Resident Manager and Property Manager. This role includes every other weekend and on-call duties.
Requirements
- Property management or customer service experience is an asset.
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
- Comfortable with basic computer tasks.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and move objects that may exceed that weight.
- A hands-on, can-do attitude and pride in keeping a property looking its best.
Responsibilities
- Greet and interact with residents in a friendly, professional manner.
- Respond to resident concerns and service requests within 24 hours and follow up to ensure satisfaction.
- Handle office administrative tasks such as applications, notices, and lease renewals.
- Organize and help run resident events like holiday parties and summer barbeques.
- Maintain cleanliness of common areas including foyers, amenity rooms, parking garage, locker rooms, patios, and rooftops.
- Prepare vacant units so they are move-in ready.
- Manage garbage and recycling collection in line with the city schedule.
- Handle yard maintenance, including snow and ice removal and salting in winter.
- Complete daily walkthroughs and fix minor deficiencies.
- Report larger issues to your supervisor.
- Assist with HVAC monitoring and basic electrical, plumbing, boiler, and chiller troubleshooting.
- Help coordinate tradespeople and contractors as needed.
- Understand fire and life safety systems and assist with emergency procedures when needed.
