About The Position

The Department of Materials Science and Engineering at The Pennsylvania State University in University Park, PA, invites applications for an Assistant Research Professor position in the J. A. Robinson Research Group. The successful candidate will conduct experimental research focused on the synthesis and characterization of two-dimensional (2D) materials and related heterostructures. The candidate will also help guide the group’s research activities, mentor graduate students and other junior researchers, and contribute to the preparation of research proposals, technical reports, publications, and presentations. This is a non-tenure-line faculty position funded for one year from the date of hire, with an excellent possibility of renewal based on performance and continued funding. Requirements

  • Ph.D. in materials science and engineering, physics, chemistry, electrical engineering, or a closely related field.
