About The Position

Under direction, provides scientific and statistical support to faculty and research investigators. This role involves assisting with data development, collection, and analysis using various statistical methodologies. The position also includes contributing to database design, research design development, and teaching biostatistical methodology. The Assistant Research Biostatistician will write methods sections and analysis plans for various research documents.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in related field
• Approximately 2 years of related experience
• Critical thinking, prioritization of tasks, strong problem-solving and troubleshooting, and excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists faculty in preparation of IRB proposals.
• Assists with data development and collection.
• Analyzes research data using basic and advanced statistical methodologies; interprets results for clinical investigators and prepares reports.
• Performs short-term and long-term biostatistical consultations with clinical investigators.
• Assists in database design programming and database management.
• Assists in the development of research designs.
• Contributes to teaching biostatistical methodology to medical students, residents, fellows and other staff.
• Writes methods sections and analysis plans for incorporation into protocols, abstracts, manuscripts and grants.
