Serves as the Assistant Registrar with responsibility for assisting the Registrar with the daily functions of the Registrar’s Office and for performing various administrative and technical functions. This position reports to the Registrar at Lakes Region Community College. The Assistant Registrar will assist the Registrar with daily office functions including transfer credit evaluations, student records, registration, outgoing transcripts, data input in Banner, and enrollment verifications. This role is the first point of contact for students and the public seeking assistance from the Registrar’s Office. Responsibilities include assisting with degree audits, GPA requirements, and other duties related to graduation, as well as troubleshooting registration issues to support advisors and students. The Assistant Registrar manages outgoing transcripts using Clearinghouses and assists in managing communication plans related to attendance verification, grades, and schedules. This position updates and provides assistance to staff, faculty, and students with Banner database, Banner Document Management (BDM), Dynamic Forms, and Degree Works. A thorough knowledge of the LRCC catalog/CCSNH System policies, including academic policies, admissions, and tuition and fees, is required. The Assistant Registrar assists the Registrar with building academic years in Banner, building courses, and assisting with changes to the course schedule and curriculum updates in DegreeWorks. Collaboration with the Early College Coordinator to build early college at the high school classes and troubleshoot registration issues for early college students is also a key function. The role ensures continuity of the Registrar’s Office operations in the absence of the Registrar. Along with the Registrar, the Assistant Registrar serves as a Veterans Certifying Official and assists with the certification of veterans. Maintaining a high level of confidentiality and security of student records is paramount. The position implements college policies and procedures and serves on college committees as assigned, while complying with all system, college, state, and federal rules and regulations. Performs other duties as assigned.
